This weeks retail showcase

We have had an excellent response in relation to some of our retail opportunities now that the Isle of Man retail sector is getting back to normal; to the point that we have had strong interest in one or two local cafes in particular. While its clear that we are heading towards some sort of new normal in terms of IOM retail its also clear that retail businesses will always be popular as a way of generating income especially with interest rates at all time lows (and rumored to be potentially going negative at some stage). Many of these businesses have also adapted in the last few months to adopt new service and delivery models. Island residents are also thinking very local in terms of retail much more than they have done before.

As an example one such opportunity we have is Erin News on Station Road in Port Erin. This is a popular newsagent and stationery shop generating good turnover. It benefits from an excellent high street position with good parking accessible outside. The business also has a lottery point which generates strong commissions. Erin News also comes with full stock making this a turn-key opportunity. There is considerable scope to further capitalize on online ordering and delivery fulfillment as well as other potential opportunities to grow the already high turnover which the existing owners have not yet had the full bandwidth to implement. It would very much suit an active owner / manager looking for a good cash generating retail business.

This is a great turnkey opportunity with excellent turnover right in the middle of the main high street. A complementary gift shop is also for sale in the next street.
